Barcelona star Lionel Messi said goodbye to his three children before he departed or Argentina’s upcoming friendlies.
Messi who inspired Argentina to qualification for the 2018 FIFA World Cup was included in Jorge Sampaoli’s team for the friendlies in March.
His partner Antonella Roccuzzo posted a picture of him embracing his three sons before he departed to meet his Argentine teammates in Manchester, along with a message which said, “Happy day daddy. We love you so much!!! Thanks for being the best dad in the world!.”
The picture shows Messi holding his new born son Ciro, while his other sons Thiago and Matteo sit with him on a chair.
After heartaches at the 2016 Copa America and 2014 FIFA World Cup Messi hopes that he can eventually triumph with his country as he has done for Barcelona so many times.
The Argentine Football Association later posted on their official Instagram account to confirm the arrival of Messi who recently unveiled their new Adidas away jerseys.
Messi and his Argentine teammates will take on Italy on Friday, March 23 at the Etihad Stadium before they travel to face Spain on Tuesday, March 27 at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
